Founder of FG Wilson
The FG Wilson brand’s journey started in 1966 with Fred Wilson and his 6 colleagues in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Today FG Wilson is powering life in over 150 countries with around 670,000 gensets installed since 1990. The world has changed much in that time but the FG Wilson formula of quality, support and value still remains the same more than 50 years later.
The biggest leap for FG Wilson was taken in 1993, when the company relocated into a 70,000 square metre facility in Larne, Northern Ireland. The immense growth and potential of FG Wilson in the European market attracted the attention of Caterpillar Inc and in 2000, FG Wilson became a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar.
FG Wilson in the Philippines
Prior to 1999, FG Wilson gensets were sold primarily by Asia Industries, dealer of Westinghouse Products in the Philippines. It was in 1999, about the same year as FG Wilson Engineering became a fully owned subsidiary of Caterpillar when Powerasia Equipment Resources became the appointed dealer of FG Wilson products. Since that year Powerasia sold 3600 gensets catering to various industries such as banking, agriculture, diesel power plants, water districts, telecoms, hospitals. In 2019, in its bid to consolidate resources, Castlepower took over the dealership of FG Wilson products from Powerasia. Thus Powerasia remain as the service provider of Castlepower.

Our Small Product Range of generator set models is available from 8 – 220 kVA. Offering a wide selection of prime and standby models at 60 Hz for all applications. Powered by either an EU Stage IIIa Emissions compliant engine for emissions regulated territories or a fuel optimised engine for less stringent global markets.

Medium Range
Our Medium Product Range of generator set models is available from 249 –750 kVA. Offering a wide selection of prime and standby models at 60 Hz for all applications. Powered by either an EU Stage IIIa Emissions compliant engine for emissions regulated territories or a fuel optimised engine for less stringent global markets.

Why Choose FG Wilson?
Firm. FG Wilson gensets can withstand shock test, which very few manufacturers would allow their gensets to be subjected to shock load - a sudden load from 0 to 100% load cold start. This is particularly important to critical applications such as data centers, hospitals (especially for the equipment in ICU units), and power plants. FG Wilson gensets is also the preferred equipment for prime use by NPC-Spug for its reliability.
